Hello Shipmate,

My name is Glenn Marowski, and I was stationed aboard the USS Theodore
Roosevelt (SSBN 600) Blue as a Sonar Tech. Although I have been out of
the Navy for over ten years, I am still greatly interested in Submarines,
and am quite proud of my service. Anyway, the whole reason I'm writting
is to congratulate you on a fine web site, well done!!. Also to add a
little trivia to your collection.

On October 3, 1979, the USS Theodore Roosevelt (SSBN 600) Blue Crew
completed it's 600th successful dive, off the coast of Oahu, Hawaii.
(I was there, and have the photo to prove it!)

Any info you could help me dig up on the old Teddy R, pics, articles,
etc... would be more than greatfully accepted. Even a nudge in the right
direction. But above all keep up the good work!!

Man Battle Stations Missle for WSRT !!!!!

One other thing you might add to your list of Submarine Facts, is the
definition of a "Successful Patrol". I always thought that "coming up as
many times as you go down" was probably the best explaination I ever
heard. And this came from my CO, LCDR P.G. Klintworth. Have a good day.

Hello Mr. Spitzer,
Just wanted to say that you have a great spread on the web.
My Uncle is active Navy right now- hes a Submariner too. And that also
My grandfather is retired. So the Navy is a big part in my life. I
think that the "Little KNown Facts about Submarines" and the rest of it
is excellent. And I was wondering if I coul link your page to my Website
for a reference to this, the best branch of the military? Please let me
know...

No problem! I mean, the NAVY rocks so much. There needs to be more
people in the service that make their presence known on the WWW! Its
funny how you wrote yourname to: Thats my Uncles last name, sometimes
how he replies. Well thank you again for the link-permission. WIll
definately do, my page is not fully complete yet, but its on the WWW,
once I get the correct address for it, I will let you know, adn you can
tell me what you think of my "Navy" section. Have a great day.

Hi Judd,
I stumbled upon your sight by accident, but I am glad I did so as I found it very interesting. However,
I am trying to find out exactly who is Henry M. Jackson. Seeing
as how you were stationed aboard a ship named in his honor, possibly
you could enlighten me as to just who he is and what he did. I am
not really up on my U.S. history so anything you know would
be appreciated. Thank you. E-mail me at your earliest convenience

Hey, I just got off the Jackson Blue. I'm at Penn State University
teaching ROTC. She's a really hot running boat now. Both crews just
got above average on TRE's preceded by Above Average on ORSE's. It
looks like she'll finally get her Battle 'E' she has deserved for so
long. The Gold crew skipper is now Capt Stewart, the tomahawk shooter
from the USS Louisville. The Blue crew skipper is Capt Conrad Donahue,
an outstanding man who has a wonderful sense of humor. Two real star
CO's. Let me know if you want any pictures of the boat, I have about 50
that I could scan in for you.

I thoroughly enjoyed your home page, even though I am not a submariner.
I have worked with submariners in the past and think you are a great group.

Keep up the good work.

It was a very nice and intressting page you have. The historical background
about yours Dolhpins was quite nice. My self is a captain on a Swedish
Submarine ( to 27 of Sept then I go over to the civilian market). My Sub is
a submarine of Västergötland class and you can read about it on
:http://www.mil.se/fm/marin/1ubavd/1ubavd.htm even in English !

If you now any good international site for submariners it would be nice if
you send me the address. My special area is Digital signal processing (
sonar ) and database system. I have a compani who are developing
classifications system for LOFAR, and ESM. We are soon going out on the
internationell market. The Swedish Navy has it omboard all submarines.

Thanks again fo a very good site.

Its always nice to see a web page on my old boat. I commissined
the boat and was on the Jackson when it was still the Rhode Island. I
was on the Jackson from 1983-1988. My brother was an IC man on the Gold
crew. You may have known him Mike.
I've since gotten out of the Nav and am a Police Officer in
California. I'll always have good memories of the Scoop, but I really
enjoy this permanent shore duty. Good Luck and good job in keeping up
the tradition of the Dolphins. It is still one of my proudest moments
becoming qualified on the Jackson.

Judd, I'm MM1(SS) Howard Waxman, Plankowner of the H. M. Jackson. I
was onboard from '84 to '89 (blue crew). I enjoyed seeing your web
page about the boat and about the Submarine Force. I am currently on
the Newport News (SSN-750). I will separate from the Navy on Dec 1,
1996 after 14 years. (Sounds crazy - but I have a plan!). Check out
the following site:

This was put together by a guy up in Ocean City, MD. He and a group of
people in MD have adopted the boat and have done great things for us.

Good luck - I wish I had never left the Trident community.
